To qualify for an opportunity at Volkswagen the following is essential:
Matric (Grade 12)
National Certificate or relevant Trade Certificate in motor mechanics/vehicle service and maintenance
VW Technical courses and Computer literacy
Abilities:
Must be able to accurately diagnose malfunctioning vehicle systems and mechanical problems work in a team environment communicate clearly with customers and colleagues lift heavy parts and equipment use various devices to help diagnose & isolate problems.
Knowledge:
Must use technical knowledge and skills to complete work quickly and efficiently
Must have knowledge of parts
Completes all work allocated by Technician/Foreman/Service Manager efficiently and with no comebacks.
Skills:
Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
Lift heavy parts and equipment
Use various devices to help diagnose & isolate problems
